Recombinant Human Apo Transferrin 

Transferrin (TF) is the primary iron-binding protein in plasma. It not only participates in iron transport and metabolism and regulates respiration, cell proliferation and the immune system, but also exerts antioxidant and bactericidal protective effects, with a wide range of applications in cell culture.

Transferrin exists in three forms: apo-transferrin (iron-free, not bound to iron ions), holo-transferrin (fully iron-saturated, binding two iron ions) and partially saturated transferrin.

Anrate Recombinant Apo-Transferrin is a recombinant transferrin protein expressed and purified from Pichia pastoris via recombinant DNA technology. It is free of animal-derived components, eliminates the risk of blood-borne viral infection, and features high batch-to-batch consistency.

As an apo-form transferrin product, it is suitable for inherently iron-rich culture media and applicable to animal cell culture.

Quality Control

This product is tested via physical, chemical and biotechnological methods, covering appearance, pH value, loss on drying, clarity and color of solution, solubility, identification, purity, total protein, residual iron and safety tests. For details, please refer to the product Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Reconstitution Instructions

The recommended final concentration after reconstitution should not exceed 50 mg/mL. Dissolve the lyophilized powder in sterile PBS or other suitable solvent, then filter through a sterile membrane filter.

The solution may be further diluted and aliquoted with other solvents according to your application requirements. The sterile solution is stable for up to 30 days when stored at 2–8°C. Once opened, use promptly to avoid microbial contamination.

Storage Conditions

Store this product at 2–8°C in a tightly sealed, dry environment, protected from light and moisture. The shelf life of unopened products complies with the stated product expiration date.

Use promptly after opening, and ensure the container is tightly resealed after each use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as they may impair the performance of culture media.
