Recombinant Holo Transferrin for Cell Culture  Low Endotoxin

ransferrin (TF) is the major iron-binding protein in plasma. It is not only involved in iron transport and metabolism, as well as the regulation of respiration, cell proliferation and the immune system, but also exerts antioxidant and bactericidal functions, with a wide range of applications in cell culture.

Transferrin exists in three forms: apo-transferrin (iron-free, not bound to iron ions), holo-transferrin (iron-saturated, bound to two iron ions) and partially saturated transferrin.

Anrate Recombinant Holo-Transferrin is a recombinant transferrin expressed and purified from Pichia pastoris via genetic recombination technology. It contains no animal-derived components, carries no risk of blood-borne virus infection, and features high batch-to-batch consistency.

As an iron-saturated holo-transferrin product, it not only performs the function of iron transport, but also serves as an iron source for cells by itself, and is suitable for animal cell culture.

Quality Control

The product is tested via physical, chemical and biotechnological methods, covering appearance, pH value, loss on drying, clarity and color of solution, solubility, identification, purity, total protein, additives and safety tests. For details, please refer to the product Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Reconstitution Method

It is recommended that the final concentration does not exceed 50 mg/ml. For reconstitution, dissolve the lyophilized powder in sterile PBS or other suitable solvent, then filter through a sterile filter membrane. The solution can be further diluted and aliquoted with other solvents per customer requirements. The sterile solution is stable for 30 days at 2–8 °C. Once opened, use promptly to avoid contamination.

Storage Conditions

Store this product at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture, in a tightly sealed and dry condition. For unopened products, the validity period complies with the stated shelf life. After opening, use promptly and ensure the container is resealed after each use. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles, which may impair the performance of the culture medium.

Shelf Life

The tentative shelf life of this product is 5 years.
