ART202S Recombinant Human Holo-Transferrin | Animal-Component-Free for Serum-Free CGT Cell Culture

ART202S Recombinant Human Transferrin (Holo-Transferrin, fully iron-saturated form) is produced in an animal-component-free Pichia pastoris expression platform. No extra stabilizers or carrier proteins are added in formulation, delivering high protein purity and consistent batch performance.

This product is supplied in pre-charged holo-form with iron ions bound to protein binding sites, serving as a ready-to-use iron source in cell culture. It selectively binds to cell membrane TfR1 receptors and releases iron intracellularly through the endocytic pathway, supporting cell expansion, metabolism and cellular antioxidant defense. There is no requirement for supplemental free iron in culture media, simplifying formulation development for serum-free, low-serum and chemically defined (CD) media.

Supplied as lyophilized powder for easy cold-chain transport, weighing and media preparation, it is widely adopted in stem cell, immune cell and engineered cell culture for bioprocess development and scale-up.

The product is lyophilized powder. Reconstitute at room temperature using sterile water, PBS or compatible buffer to prepare stock solution at 0.5–2.0 mg/mL. Once fully dissolved, filter through a 0.22 μm sterile filter for sterilization. The filtered stock solution can be kept at 2–8°C for up to 30 days under aseptic conditions. After aliquoting, samples remain stable for 1 year stored at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Dilute further and add into culture media according to your process needs.
